As revealed by Taylor Loren, some Instagram users have begun receiving notifications about this new capability. The notification informs users,
"You can now comment on Stories. Comments are visible to anyone who views the story."
These comments are placed at the bottom of the frame, above the controls and viewer details, to encourage more discussions about Stories content without being distracting.
